一、教学目标

《商务英语会话》是英语专业商务英语方向第三年专业限选课。通过本课程的学习以及技能实践,使学生能够掌握外贸活动中各具体环节的专业英语的口语表达,掌握一定的商务交际技能;并最终使学生达到能独立参与国际贸易过程中各个环节的磋商,熟练使用英语进行商贸洽谈和进出口贸易操作。          

二、教学内容

第一章  业务促销(Sales Call

教学要求:通过本的学习,应结合课文情景掌握在对外贸易活动中所涉及的业务促销话题

的专业术语、常用词汇与语言点、惯用句型表达方式和常规对话特点。

教学重点:Students should grasp the expressions in the situation of sales call and the steps of sales calls.

教学难点: Students should grasp how to establish business English awareness and understand

how to establish better relationship with customers.

第二章  交易会(At the Fair

教学要求:通过本的学习,应结合课文情景掌握在对外贸易活动中所涉及的交易会话题的

专业术语、常用词汇与语言点、惯用句型表达方式和常规对话特点。

教学重点:Students should grasp regular trade talks at the fair.

教学难点:Students should grasp how to invite the customs to the fair.

第三章  对外贸易政策(Foreign Trade Policy

教学要求:通过本的学习,应结合课文情景掌握在对外贸易活动中所涉及的外贸政策话题

的专业术语、常用词汇与语言点、惯用句型表达方式和常规对话特点。

教学重点:Students should grasp useful expressions of the general and specific foreign trade policies.

教学难点: Students should grasp any favorable conditions and trade methods to establish

business relationship with foreign customs .

第四章  询价Inquiry

教学要求:通过本的学习,应结合课文情景掌握在对外贸易活动中所涉及的询价话题的专

业术语、常用词汇与语言点、惯用句型表达方式和常规对话特点。

教学重点:Students should grasp how to express the sentence patterns of inquiry, the motivation

of inquiry.

教学难点:Students should understand the significance of inquiry and how to respond in the

inquiry.

第五章  报价Offer

教学要求:通过本的学习,应结合课文情景掌握在对外贸易活动中所涉及的报价话题的专

业术语、常用词汇与语言点、惯用句型表达方式和常规对话特点。

教学重点:Students should grasp how to make a counter-offer and respond in the situation of

counter-offer.

教学难点:Students should grasp how to respond the counter-offer in different situations.

第六章  价格(Price

教学要求:通过本的学习,应结合课文情景掌握在对外贸易活动中所涉及的价格话题的专

业术语、常用词汇与语言点、惯用句型表达方式和常规对话特点。

教学重点:Students should express appropriately how to make the seller reduce the price.

Students should also grasp how to make discounts for price.

教学难点:Students should express price negotiation clearly.

第七章  佣金Commission

教学要求:通过本的学习,应结合课文情景掌握在对外贸易活动中所涉及的佣金话题的专

业术语、常用词汇与语言点、惯用句型表达方式和常规对话特点。

教学重点:Students should grasp useful expressions of commission in dealings.

教学难点: Students should grasp how to make commission in price and know how to establish

further business relationship between commission agents and exporters.

第八章  付款条件(Payment Terms

教学要求:通过本的学习,应结合课文情景掌握在对外贸易活动中所涉及的付款条件话题

的专业术语、常用词汇与语言点、惯用句型表达方式和常规对话特点。

教学重点:Students should grasp the expressions of Letter of Credit in business dealings and

understand when to use D/P or D/A in business dealings and how to require easy payment terms.

教学难点: Students should grasp how to use international pay terms in different dealings.

第九章  装运(Shipment

教学要求:通过本的学习,应结合课文情景掌握在对外贸易活动中所涉及的装运话题的专

业术语、常用词汇与语言点、惯用句型表达方式和常规对话特点。

教学重点:Students should grasp how to express transportation methods in foreign trade how to

distinguish shipment documents.

教学难点: Students should grasp how to decide the shipment time in actual business dealings and

the difference between shipping advice and shipping instruction.

第十章  包装(Packing

教学要求:通过本的学习,应结合课文情景掌握在对外贸易活动中所涉及的包装话题的专

业术语、常用词汇与语言点、惯用句型表达方式和常规对话特点。

教学重点Students should grasp how to express packing materials and their functions correctly in oral English.

教学难点: How to distinguish various inner packing and outer packing.

第十一章  保险(Insurance

教学要求:通过本的学习,应结合课文情景掌握在对外贸易活动中所涉及的保险话题的专

业术语、常用词汇与语言点、惯用句型表达方式和常规对话特点。

教学重点:Students should grasp how to express insurance risks orally.

教学难点: What insurance covers will be used in actual foreign trade transactions..

第十二章  索赔(Claim

教学要求:通过本的学习,应结合课文情景掌握在对外贸易活动中所涉及的索赔话题的专

业术语、常用词汇与语言点、惯用句型表达方式和常规对话特点。

教学重点:Students should express orally the scale of claim and its reason and the causes of

claims in various foreign trade transactions.

教学难点:Different responsibility of claim for any relative party.

教学难点: The requirements for agents.

第十三章 机场迎接On the Arrival of Visitors

教学要求:通过本的学习,应结合课文情景掌握在机场迎接的常用词汇与语言点、惯用句

型表达方式和常规对话特点。

教学重点:Student should express orally the useful expressions in welcoming the foreign customers in the airport.

教学难点: How to make greetings in the airport.

第十四章 招待客户(Entertaining Clients

教学要求:通过本的学习,应结合课文情景掌握在机场迎接的常用词汇与语言点、惯用句

型表达方式和常规对话特点。

教学重点:Student should express orally the useful expressions in business parties.

教学难点: How to make a proposal in the business parties.

  三、学时分配

总学时32学时,其中理论28学时,实践0学时。具体分配如下:
